Ramadan Mubarak!

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatahu,

As we approach the blessed month of Ramadan, the GMU MSA is once again making preparations for the Nightly Iftaar Program. Our Mason MSA has been serving iftaar to its students every night with no charge, and we are very proud of that tradition. The nightly iftaars are held for all Muslim students on campus and feed over 200 students every night, Monday through Thursday, in the blessed month of Ramadan.

As you can imagine, this is a great task and the cost to the MSA is just as great. Each night costs around $1,200. In order to accomplish our goals, we will need the help and support of the current Muslim students at Mason as well as Alumni. In the past, many students have collected their friends and families as a group to sponsor one or more nights, and we need that tradition to continue to ensure that this year’s MSA Iftaar Program continues to be as successful. If you are interested in helping out the MSA this Ramadan, either with your financial or volunteer support, please email us at gmumsa@googlegroups.com. May Allah reward all your help and efforts and multiply your reward in this blessed month.
